I have now been on the road for 1.5 years with no expectation of returning to London. I love to travel in a slow way so that I can truly appreciate the places I visit.
As the name of my blog suggests, I am a budget backpacker who can't afford 5* star hotels and luxury trips. I figure out how to make my budget stretch as far as possible so that I can travel for as long as possible! My best budget travel month came in at less than £400 in Malaysia.
All of my travel is done solo – and I love it that way! Travelling solo doesn't mean that you will fee lonely, and it can be an extremely rewarding experience.
As my blog title suggests, I am a gay traveller and LGBT activities lie at the heart of my travel experiences. When I travel to new places I love to discover the local gay culture and get to know the local LGBT people.
I decided that it was time to slow down, and Mexico is now my permanent base, a great spot in central America that allows me to take other trips around the region.
I spent three months travelling in Thailand, and I am particularly knowledgeable about the gay scene here.
I lived in Cambodia for a summer, and travelled right around the country. I am paricularly knowledgeable about Phnom Penh.
I live in Mexico and have travelled the country extensively. I have lived in DF and Oaxaca but travelled the length and breadth of the country.
I spent two months in Malaysia, travelling right across the country from Penang to Melaka.
England is my home country and I know it inside and out – particularly London! This is one place that I can definitely share insider secrets about.
