I've left my hometown of Montreal many times to travel for longer periods, but my latest trip was a 9 month RTW trip that took me from South America to Asia to Europe and back home! I think long-term travel has so much to offer and all travel afficionados should try it out!
I've been traveling as a female solo traveler since I was 18, which means for over 10 years, so I know the deal and I have some great tips on how to rule the travel world as a lady on the road!
It's not always easy to decide what to bring with you. Very little space, luggage limitations, different temperatures, etc. I'm used to playing around with different aspects of packing to get the most out of my backpack or suitcase! Same for gadgets, I've tried and tested a lot of them and know which ones are worth it!
I've been traveling solo a minimum of 3 times per year for the past 11 years. I embrace this style of travel and think it has so many great advantages. Don't be scared, head out! I'd be glad to help answer your questions!

I've travelled to a dozen Western European countries and I've backpacked, flashbackped and even lived in Germany for 6 months! Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, Netherlands, Austria, Luxemburg, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, etc…
I backpacked for 4 months in South America including Peru, Bolivia, Chile and 2 months in Argentina. I LOVE THIS PLACE! (I also visited Panama in Central America)
I'm from Montreal, so if you want to visit Quebec or Ontario, I have some great tips for you. I know the hotspots around the Northern United States as well like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, as I've roadtripped them a lot!
I stayed in SEA for 4 months backpacking around : Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (and Taiwan although not SEA). I had a blast and stayed long enough to know some great spots not to miss!
