Since 2008 I've been on two RTW trips and visited 66 countries. The first was a 5-month trip through East Asia solo and the second was a 15-month trip in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, South America, and North America with my wife. RTW travel is my passion, primary focus on Living the Dream, and I have also released a book on the topic called "The Long-Term Traveler's Guide"

As an experienced travel hacker, I've done just about everything you can when it comes to optimizing cheap air travel. From using credit cards to get hundreds of thousands of airline points to optimizing routes to have the cheapest one way ticket, I have saved tens of thousands of dollars on airfare in the last few years.

My wife Angie and I have traveled together to nearly 50 countries around the world on both short and long-term journeys. Our longest trip was a 465 adventure around the world that visited 38 countries on 5 continents. As you can imagine, we've gone through just about everything a couple could- and then some!

Living the Dream is one of my many websites that I have built in the last 6 years and am familiar with just about every trend in travel writing- both past and present. I'm especially fond of social media where I've built a community of over 30,000 travelers.
